BAZAR BRUTAL EVENT SERIES EP.1
We are over the moon to introduce the first episode of BAZAR BRUTAL EVENT SERIES - a series of events in Bazar Brutal bCN (C/Princesa 14) to showcase people and projects we love and that are close to the Bar Brutal universe. Our first event will celebrate the latest HOW IT HEALS? edition, including talks, video and art installations, music, wine, and specially curated books and objects. Investigating the very important theme of Regeneration, Katie Belle Benson - plant medicine maker, storyteller, and sound enthusiast - and essential founder of HOW IT HEALS? has beautifully put together a pool of insightful contributions to explore and navigate such a large and important concept through words, recipes, pictures, and illustrations.

18:00 - 19:00 REGENERATION TALK
We kick off the event with a nourishing talk with Katie Belle and zine contributors Jeanette Ramirez of Studio Topic, a landscape artist specializing in the design and education of regenerative gardening project, and Joan Rubió of Cal Tiques, a biodynamic winery in the Penedès wine region of Catalonia, where they observe, respect, and work with the rhythms of nature. Together, they'll exchange views on the fanzine and the topic at heart, posing the question how do we interact with the notion of regeneration in our daily lives and what impact do our actions carry.

Katie Belle Benson
Born on a magical island in the north Pacific. Plant medicine maker, story teller, sound enthusiast. Founder of House of Belle Herbal Apothecary and creator of How It Heals? a fanzine exploring nature, plant wisdom & perspectives on the environment and cultural climate
of the world around us. Based in Barcelona, she works as a Herbalist and Bach Flower practitioner. She also hosts The Curious Health Podcast and is half of Mild To Wild, a DJ duo and radio show featuring a unique curation of everything from disco to jazz.
Jeanette Ramirez
A landscape artist, gardener and educator with over 15 years of experience in the design and execution of landscape projects. Founder of TOPIC, a Barcelona-based mixed-media landscape studio rooted in regenerative gardening and a holistic approach to creating sustainable, living spaces. Through her multidisciplinary practice, Jeanette brings together landscape, gardening, art and diverse materials to create spaces that encourage a deeper connection between people and nature.
Joan Rubió
Joan Rubió is a committed winemaker devoted to the regeneration of soils, rooted in the heart of the Alt Penedès, where he developed his personal project, Cal Tiques. Cal Tiques is a 6.5-hectare project that began in 2025, born from a profound reflection on, and deep respect for, the vineyard. With a calm and consistent approach, Joan is fully dedicated to the project alongside his wife, Àngels, striving for harmony between the land, the vines and the wines. They work the soil according to the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with a strong focus on restoring its vitality and preserving the natural balance of the vineyard.
Martin Alé
Mild To Wild is a Venezuelan, Canadian DJ duo. Katie Belle & Martin Alé, sound enthusiasts, archivists and storytellers with a deep appreciation for the places, histories and cultures experienced through music. From New York and the Caribbean to Berlin and their current home in Barcelona, their diverse collection spans through jazz, disco, salsa, italo and house. Also a monthly radio show on Dublab ES, celebrating a decade on air in 2027, with Mild To Wild. Records debuting its first release in autumn 2026.
How It Heals? fanzine is beautifully designed with Martin Alé from Brut Studio and printed in two-tone Risograph at Jumbo Press in Barcelona, Spain. Issue 002 is 28 pages and features an exclusive Risograph poster.
